Vortex™ is a value-for-money sleeveless, side opening, tactical vest available at Level II and IIIA. Features include water resistant sonic-welded ballistic panels, with durable and washable Dacron and cotton outer shell carrier. Vortex™ includes ArmorShield's patented Blunt Trauma System, a very effective impact absorbing system, unique to ArmorShield. A variety of upgrades are available. For example, opting for a rugged Nylon outer carrier, and adding hard armor plates for use in the Vortex™ front and back pockets for protection against high velocity rifle rounds.
